How It Works:
📸 Snap Some Photos:
Capture images of the items you want removed. It’s the easiest way for us to provide you with an accurate and upfront quote.
📲 Submit Your Request:
Fill out our simple Online Estimate Request Form below with your contact details and a brief description of the items you’d like us to haul away.
⏰ Swift Follow-Up:
Once you send your request, Amanda will reply within 24 hours with a ballpark price and available pickup times. Our pricing is clear—no hidden fees. All online or text quotes are confirmed in person before we start loading.
In-Person Quote:
Sometimes photos just don’t cut it—and that’s okay. Choose an on-site estimate when:
-
Items are spread out across rooms, garage, lanai, or yard
-
There’s too much to photograph or you’re not tech-savvy
-
You’re facing a hoarder/compulsive clutter situation and want a discreet, compassionate walkthrough
How it works: We meet you on site, assess volume and any special-handling items, then email a written estimate within 24 hours (we don’t provide on-the-spot quotes). Once you approve the estimate, we’ll follow up to schedule your pickup. No pressure, no obligation.
Pricing Structure:
At Junk Authority Hawaii, our pricing is based on three key factors:
#1 Location of Your Junk:
Your location matters! We offer island-wide service across the Big Island. While our primary service area is Kailua Kona and West Hawai‘i, we also serve the East Side, Hāmākua Coast, and Ocean View with a minimum of one full trailer load. For a detailed list of the locations we cover, please visit our Service Area page.
#2 Amount of Junk:
We charge by volume—you pay only for the space your items take up in our 22-cubic-yard trailer. Every job includes loading by our fully insured two-person truck team, standard disposal fees (special items excluded), and hauling.
#3 Kind of Junk
Some items require special handling fees in addition to our volume-based pricing. These include appliances with Freon (refrigerators, freezers, A/C units), electronics such as TVs, monitors, and computers, tires and bulk scrap metal (varies by quantity), pressurized tanks (propane/oxygen), and heavy construction debris like tile, concrete, or dense lumber (subject to weight-based charges). We’ll call these out in your estimate and itemize them on your invoice.
Here are some common items we’ve removed for our customers. Our junk removal services cover much more, so if you want to get rid of it, we can haul it!
